
Dr. Lisa Hester is a lecturer in the Department of Fine Art and Education at the Technological University Shannon (TUS). Her research explores the relationships between art criticism and analytical psychology, particularly within the context of visionary art. Dr. Hester has published several articles on the psychological nuances of visual art and fringe art movements, asserting the therapeutic potential of art for individuals and society. With a background in painting from the Limerick School of Art and Design, her academic work is enriched by an understanding of the creative process. Additionally, her experience in arts facilitation, which includes conducting creative sessions and leading art workshops, actively informs her research and teaching methods.
