These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern your attendance at events organized by the London Arts-Based Research Centre Ltd (“LABRC,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By booking a place at any LABRC event or activity, you (“you,” “your,” “delegate”) agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and by our Privacy Policy.

These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) also govern buying an annual subsription at the London Arts-Based Research Centre Ltd (“LABRC,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By buying an annual subscription at LABRC, you (“you,” “your,” “delegate”) agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and by our Privacy Policy.

1. General Information:
   1.1 The London Arts-Based Research Centre LTD (LABRC) organizes various online and in-person events and activities, including but not limited to conferences, workshops, and courses.

   1.2 These terms and conditions apply to the purchase for all LABRC events, activities, and subscriptions.

2. Ticket and subscription Purchase:
2.1 Ticket Purchase
   2.1.1 All events tickets purchases are subject to availability and acceptance by LABRC.

   2.1.2 Tickets can be purchased online through the official LABRC website or authorized third-party event management and ticketing platforms/websites.

   2.1.3 By purchasing a ticket, the attendee agrees to abide by these terms and conditions. By purchasing a ticket through an authorized third-party ticketing platform (including eventbrite and Ticket Tailor), the attendee also agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of the ticketing platform.

 2.1.4 Purchasing a ticket and acknowledging these terms constitutes an offer to attend. Upon completion, an email confirming your booking will be sent by the ticketing platform. Failed payment results in a failed booking. If for any reason you did not receive an email confirming your booking, please email us at info@labrc.co.uk

2.1.5 For co-presenters: each co-presenter will need to register individually to secure a spot in the conference.

2.1.6 If a presenter would like to deliver more than one presentation, a booking fee should be paid for each presentation.

2.1.7 We will contact you if we cannot accept your order in some circumstances: If you are not allowed to buy the services from us or if we are not allowed to sell you our services.

2.2 Subscription Purchase
   2.2.1 All subscription purchases are subject to acceptance by LABRC.

   2.2.2 Subscriptions can be purchased online through the official LABRC website or authorized third-party websites.

   2.2.3 By purchasing a subscription, the subscriber agrees to abide by these terms and conditions.

 2.2.4 Upon completion, an email confirming your subscription will be sent to the subscriber. Failed payment results in a failed subscription. If for any reason you did not receive an email confirming your subscription within 24 hours, please email us at info@labrc.co.uk

2.2.5 We will contact you if we cannot accept your order in some circumstances: If you are not allowed to buy the services from us or if we are not allowed to sell you our services.

3. Payment:
   3.1 Payment must be made in full at the time of ticket purchase.

   3.2 LABRC accepts various payment methods, as specified on the ticketing platform.

   3.3 Unless otherwise mentioned, all ticket prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
For online participation by customers based in the European Union (EU), the ticket price is inclusive of local VAT, calculated according to EU tax regulations and remitted via the EU VAT One-Stop-Shop (OSS) system.
No additional taxes will be charged at checkout.

4. Refunds and Cancellations:
   4.1 If you are buying services from our site, you have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days from the purchase date without giving any reason after the purchase if you have not used the service. You must notify us in writing to use your right to cancel by emailing us on info@labrc.co.uk mentioning the following information: Name of the “consumer”, address of the “consumer”, the date of order, and the specific event you wish to cancel. Kindly note that the service fee of the ticketing platform/website is non-refundable.

   4.2 For ticketed events such as courses, workshops, and conferences:

 4.2.1 In-Person (physical) participation:
-For cancellations 30 days or more before your event date, we will refund the full fee.
-For cancellations more than fourteen days, but less than 30 days before your event date, we will refund 50% of the fee.
-For cancellations fourteen days and less before the event date, the full fee will be charged.

4.2.2 Online Participation
-For online participation, the full fee will be charged in case on cancellation

4.3 For annual subscriptions: You have the right to cancel the subscription within 14 days from the purchase date without giving any reason after the purchase if you have not used the service. The LABRC has no obligation to refund renewals unless you notify us before your renewal date that you want to cancel. 

   4.4 LABRC reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule an event. In such cases, attendees will be notified, and options for event ticket refunds or alternative arrangements will be provided. We will not, under any circumstances, refund aborted travel or accommodation costs associated with any of our Events if the event is cancelled or postponed. We recommend that you insure against any such losses or ensure your travel or accommodation booking can be cancelled without penalty.

 4.5 We may also cancel the Event Booking at any time, without liability to you if:

  1. you fail to pay any sum owing to us in connection with the Event
  2. you breach these Terms and Conditions; or
  3. we are unable to host the Event due to any reason beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to flood, fire, explosion, adverse weather conditions, terrorism, pandemic or epidemic).

 4.6 We will not, under any circumstances, refund aborted travel or accommodation costs associated with any of our Events whether the Booking is cancelled by you or us. We recommend that you insure against any such losses or ensure your travel or accommodation booking can be cancelled without penalty.

4.7 In all cases. eventbrite/Ticket Tailor fees are non refundable.

5. Attendee and subscriber Responsibilities:
   5.1 Attendees and subscribers are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information during the purchase process.

   5.2 Attendees and subscribers must comply with all rules and regulations set forth by LABRC during the event.

   5.3 LABRC reserves the right to deny entry or remove attendees who violate these terms and conditions or engage in disruptive behavior.

5.4 The LABRC organizes events according to London time, UK. Registrants are responsible for confirming any changes in timing, including adjustments due to daylight saving or other regional factors, relative to their location of attendance.

5.5 By participating in LABRC events, workshops, courses, or subscribing to our services, you agree to abide by the code of conduct.

6. Photography and Recording:
6.1. LABRC events may be photographed, filmed, or recorded. By attending, attendees acknowledge and consent to the possibility of their image, likeness, and/or voice being captured and used in LABRC’s promotional, educational, and archival materials (including social media, websites, and publications).
6.2. LABRC will make reasonable efforts to accommodate attendees who do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings; however, due to the nature of live events, this cannot always be guaranteed.
6.3. Unauthorized photography, filming, or recording of LABRC events is strictly prohibited
6.4. For online events, attendees who do not wish to appear in recordings must keep their cameras turned off and avoid using identifiable profile images or display names, as LABRC cannot edit or remove individuals’ images from recorded video content.

7. Force Majeure:
   7.1 LABRC shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such delay or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions, or failure of suppliers.

8. Privacy Policy:
   8.1 LABRC is committed to protecting the privacy of attendees and subscribers. Personal information collected during the purchase process will be used in accordance with LABRC’s Privacy Policy.

9. Internet and Streaming:
   9.1 If you are attending an online event, you acknowledge that we bear no liability or accountability for any internet-related delays, disruptions, or disturbances.

10. Maximum Liability
10.1 Except as expressly provided in these Terms or where prohibited by law, the maximum liability of LABRC is limited to the amount paid by the customer to LABRC for the specific course, event, or service in question. In cases where LABRC has provided multiple services, the maximum liability of LABRC for any particular service is limited to the portion of the total amount paid by the customer that is specifically attributable to that service , as calculated by LABRC.

11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 The parties’ liability in relation to this Agreement, whether arising from contract, tort, negligence, or any other legal theory, shall be governed by the provisions outlined in this section
11.2 Except as specified in the clauses below (titled ‘Exceptions’), we will not be held liable for any indirect, special, or consequential damages or losses
11.3 Except as specified in the clauses below (titled ‘Exceptions’), we will not be responsible for any of the following losses, whether direct or indirect:
   

 .   loss of business opportunities
.  damage to or loss of data
 .  loss of use
 .   production delays or losses
 .   loss of contracts
 .   loss of actual or anticipated savings, discounts, or rebates
 .  reputational damage
. loss of goodwill.
. loss of profits
. any payment made or due to a third party
. any loss or damage caused to any property belonging to you or any third party

Delegates are therefore strongly advised to insure their property appropriately.

Exceptions:

1. LABRC does not exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury resulting from the proven negligence of the organisation, its directors, employees, or authorised representatives.
2. Furthermore, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall operate to exclude or limit LABRC’s liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited, unlawful, or otherwise unenforceable under applicable law.

12. For Indelible Literary and Arts Journal:
12.1 Copyright Notice: All content in the journal remains the intellectual property of the individual contributors.
12.2 Reproduction Restrictions: No part of the journal may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form or by any means without the prior written permission of the individual contributors, except for brief quotations in reviews or scholarly works.
12.3. Contributor Rights: Contributors retain all rights to their individual works
12.4. Fair Use: Limited excerpts may be used for purposes of commentary, criticism, or education in accordance with fair use doctrine.
12.5. Liability: The magazine publisher is not responsible for any copyright infringement by third parties.
12.6. Duration: These terms apply for the full duration of copyright protection for each individual work.
12.7. Jurisdiction: Any disputes related to copyright of the contents will be governed by applicable copyright laws.
12.8. No refund policy: Individual issue purchases are not eligible for refund (for both digital and print versions). If you do not receive the purchased individual issue, please contact us at publishing@labrc.co.uk

11. Amendments:
    11.1 LABRC reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Attendees will be bound by the terms and conditions in force at the time of ticket purchase.

13. Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. . In case of disputes, we both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

By purchasing a ticket for LABRC events, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
